The Drift is a collaborative platform that explores bodies of water as a context, site, and material for art in the public realm.
Through exploratory residencies and project-based commissions, The Drift invited artists, cross-disciplinary experts and community members to respond to the confluence of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio rivers in Pittsburgh, PA.
Their activities engaged the public through a series of curated programs including lectures, tours, events, installations, interventions, and sprawling speculative projects. This site serves an archive of its activity from 2012 - 2016.
